iResQ Offering Apple TV Hard Drive Upgrades

Well, this happened a lot quicker than I thought it would. Not only are hackers upgrading the hard drive in the Apple TV — iResQ, a well-known and respected Mac service company, is now offering to do so for you! It isn't cheap — an upgrade to an 80GB drive is $209.00 and quadrupling the capacity costs $299.00, which is enough to buy a second Apple TV! The price includes overnight pickup and delivery within the US and transfer of your existing data. I find the streaming capability so reliable that I can't see needing more capacity for syncing. (I am going to need more drive capacity for iTunes, though — and soon! I wonder how cheaply I can put a terabyte of storage on my Media Center PC?) But if you want it done and the idea of doing it yourself makes you queasy — you now have an alternative.
